Minor Surgery

Minor outpatient surgical procedures (moles, cysts, lipomas) with local anesthesia.

  • Outpatient procedures
  • Local anesthesia
  • Removal of moles, cysts and lipomas
  • After-care explained

A mole that rubs against clothing, a cyst that gets inflamed or a growing lump of fat can be removed with a short procedure at the clinic, using local anesthesia and no hospital stay. At Clínica Hispana Mangum the clinic's medical team evaluates the lesion, explains the procedure and gives clear recovery instructions.

Which procedures do we do?

  • Mole removal and removal of small skin lesions.
  • Cyst removal for sebaceous or epidermal cysts.
  • Removal of small lipomas (fatty lumps under the skin).
  • Other minor skin procedures based on the evaluation.

Moles to have checked soon

Use the ABCDE rule:

  • Asymmetry: one half does not match the other.
  • Borders that are irregular or blurry.
  • Color that is uneven, with several shades.
  • Diameter larger than 6 mm, about a pencil eraser.
  • Evolving: it changes size, shape or color, itches or bleeds.

If a mole shows any of these signs, it is examined and, when indicated, sent for analysis.

What is the procedure like?

  1. Evaluation and explanation of risks and care.
  2. Skin cleaning and local anesthesia.
  3. Removal of the lesion and stitches if needed.
  4. A bandage and written instructions.

Most procedures take less than an hour and you go home the same day.

Aftercare

  • Keep the area clean and dry for 24 to 48 hours.
  • Avoid hard exercise that stretches the wound for a few days.
  • Come back to have stitches removed on the scheduled date.
  • Get checked if there is pus, spreading redness or fever.
