Blood Tests | Lab

Complete blood work with fast results and results explained in Spanish, no appointment needed.

  • CBC and blood chemistry
  • Glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides
  • Thyroid, liver and kidney tests
  • Results explained in Spanish

A blood test tells you much more than it seems: it can reveal high blood sugar, anemia, high cholesterol or kidney, liver or thyroid problems before you notice anything. At Clínica Hispana Mangum we draw the sample during the same visit, no appointment needed, and the clinic's medical team goes over the results with you in Spanish or English.

Which tests can I get?

  • Complete blood count (CBC): red cells, white cells and platelets; helps detect anemia or infection.
  • Metabolic panel: glucose, kidney and liver function, sodium and potassium.
  • Hemoglobin A1C: your average blood sugar over the last 2 to 3 months.
  • Lipid panel: total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides.
  • Thyroid (TSH): whether your thyroid is slow or overactive.
  • Vitamins: B12 and vitamin D, when there is fatigue or a suspected deficiency.

If you are not sure which one you need, the medical team guides you based on your symptoms, age and history.

Do I need to fast?

It depends on the test. Fasting glucose and some panels require 8 to 12 hours without food; water is fine. The CBC, A1C and TSH do not require fasting. Call us first and we will tell you exactly how to prepare.

What happens during the visit?

  1. You walk in and we register you.
  2. The medical team reviews why you came and which tests make sense.
  3. We draw blood from your arm; it takes a few minutes.
  4. When results are ready, we explain them and, if needed, start treatment or follow-up.

Who is this service for?

  • People who want a checkup even if they feel fine.
  • Patients with diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol or thyroid disease who need monitoring.
  • Anyone with fatigue, excessive thirst, dizziness or unexplained weight loss.
  • Paperwork that requires lab results, such as some work exams.

How much does it cost?

You do not need health insurance. The price depends on the tests ordered; ask us for the cost before the blood draw. We accept cash, cards and Apple Pay.

We are at 2912 Mangum Rd, Suite A, in northwest Houston, open every day from 9 AM to 9 PM. To learn how to read glucose and A1C, see our lab guide.
