School & Sports Physical Exams
Physical exams for school and sports, fast and with the forms completed.
- Complete physical exam
- Vital-signs check
- School and sports forms completed
- Care in Spanish
Many schools, leagues and camps require a physical before the school year or season starts. At Clínica Hispana Mangum we do it with no appointment and fill out the form during the visit, so your child can start classes or join the team without delays.
What does the exam check?
- Health history: illnesses, surgeries, allergies, medications and family history of heart problems.
- Vital signs: weight, height, blood pressure and pulse.
- Vision and hearing.
- Physical exam: heart, lungs, abdomen, skin, spine and joints.
- Vaccination record review based on what the school requires.
Sports physicals: the heart comes first
Before a sport, we ask whether the athlete has fainted or had chest pain during exercise, and whether a relative died suddenly before age 50. If any of those signs are present, a heart evaluation such as an electrocardiogram is recommended before competing.
What should I bring?
- The school or league form; each one uses its own.
- The child's vaccination record.
- Glasses, if they wear them.
- A list of medications, including an inhaler if they have asthma.
Who can bring the child?
Minors must come with a parent or legal guardian, who signs the consent and answers the health history.
When should we do it?
2 to 4 weeks before the deadline, so there is time if a vaccine or test is missing.
We are at 2912 Mangum Rd, Suite A, in northwest Houston, open every day from 9 AM to 9 PM. No insurance needed; ask for the price before your visit. We accept cash, cards and Apple Pay.
